Andalusite

An Alumino-Silicate mineral largely used in refractory production where its high thermal shock resistance and relative lower expansion is required, the purity and grain size will determinate the features such as colour and temperature of transformation into Mullite.

Andalusite can be also used in Foundries (casting process), Ceramics and Kiln Furniture.
