Improving the environment
Eggerding is committed to creating value throughout the supply chain in a sustainable manner. By adhering to European ISO-standards we ensure the longevity of our operations. Eggerding recognizes the growing concerns surrounding the environment and, as an enterprise that thrives on natural resources, recognizes its responsibility towards the future of our world. Accordingly, we aim to integrate sustainability into many aspects of our business.
Solar Park
In accordance with European guidelines of improving sustainability in industrial enterprises, Eggerding has installed more than seven thousand solar panels across fourteen thousand square meters of Amsterdam warehouse space. The energy generated from this solar panel park will provide Egggerding with all of its electricity demand. We will even be able to offer forty percent of the energy generated to the market place, assisting in the greening of the Port of Amsterdam and enhancing quality of life in the surrounding area.
Electrical Vehicles
In 2020 alone, Eggerding has undertaken multiple initiatives to increase the sustainability of its operations. We have replaced all of the forklift trucks at our Amsterdam production site with fully electric-powered vehicles. Not only does this reduce our carbon footprint, but it scales down noise pollution at our production site and herewith improves the work environment of our team.

We accommodate superyachts and sea vessels with fully electric shore power directly from our own Solar Park.

As a provider of logistical services, we believe in the importance of increasing sustainability in mobility. Therefore, we are proud sponsors of students of the Technical University of Delft in their pursuit of developing hydrogen-fueled electric vehicles.
